Ahhhh, can you believe I’ve been styling the same items for thirty days? If you haven’t read about the Capsule Wardrobe Challenge yet be sure to head over to the introduction post and capsule update week 1 post so you can catch up before you read this one. I’m sharing a bit of an update, the outfits I’ve styled the past two weeks, and links so you can shop each outfit. Many of these are staple items for anyone’s closet, so you’re definitely going to want to pick one of these things up if you like it.
One of the things I love about a capsule wardrobe is the lack of choices. You’d think it would be limiting, and in some ways it can be. But overall, I’m so glad that when I step into my closet I have such a small array of items to choose from that it’s really helped me get ready faster in the mornings. It’s also helped keep me centered when picking out an outfit. I don’t have to go to crazy worrying that something will match because most of the items are neutral and can be restyled with other things.
A couple of cons I’ve noticed with the capsule wardrobe are that you have to keep up on laundry more often, and when you live places like I do, where it’s cold at night and hot during the day, you have to get creative with layers. I think next time I’ll pack a few more warm weather clothes.
SHOP THE CAPSULE:
I have soooo enjoyed doing this and will have my final update up next week with the rest of the outfits + links, and final thoughts on doing a capsule. The question is, should I do it again? Hahahaha.
Would you ever try a capsule wardrobe? Thank you so much for reading!
