The whirring of the pencil sharpener, a procession of muddy boots kicked off at the door. Books stacked as high as Mt. Everest and diagrams at the dinner table explaining answers to questions like “how does a bird fly?” A never ending rotation of artwork donning our walls and paint permanently living on every surface. These are the days. ✨

What’s your weather like right now? AD It’s in

What’s your weather like right now? AD It’s in the low 40’s here; a bit cold, but nothing a few layers can’t fix! This past year our family commit to the 1000 hours outside challenge. We hit our 1000 hours goal a few months back and it felt wonderful, but my favorite thing about the challenge is how much it changed our overall lifestyle. Making time in nature a regular part of our family culture has been so good for us. We went from so much time spent indoors (especially in the winter) to spending time outside together...every day, year round. We love @vivobarefoot shoes for all of our adventures! Follow them and check out the hashtag #VivoOutsiders for more outdoor adventure inspiration. If you can, try to get outside with your family this winter! Isn’t it ironic how the year that’s brought the most hardship has simultaneously brought us the closest? My husband and I are almost TEN years into our relationship. Five years in was our “okay, now we know what we’re doing” point, but almost 10 years has really been the “hey, we’re a team, we genuinely enjoy each other, we speak each other’s language, let’s do this forever” type of closeness.
